Music Literacy Activities
Is your toddler ready to be introduced to the alphabet letters? For my music theme, I also include 2 letters to be introduced to provide music literacy activities. These letter packets are separate from my music lesson plan and should only be introduced when a child starts to show literacy readiness skills. The 2 letter packets that go along with my music theme are G is for Guitar and X is for Xylophone.
G is For Guitar
While learning about G is for Guitar, I used the letter G worksheets during table time. Table time in my classroom is always right after circle time. The skills that were introduced during circle time can now be built upon during table time. I have letter printables for each of the 26 letters, and each alphabet printable packet includes 8 different worksheets. I like to have more activities than we can complete in a week, so I can have variety, and the children stay engaged with the activities.
X is for Xylophone
While learning about X is for Xylophone, I used the letter X worksheets during table time. Using the letter X worksheets, I choose one activity from the letter packet to do each day. I have letter printables for each of the 26 letters, and each alphabet printable packet includes 8 different worksheets.
