Fairy Tales Popular
Do you have a favorite fairy tale? When I was a little girl, my favorite fairy tale was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I loved that story and would often pretend I was Goldilocks while eating my oatmeal for breakfast. While creating this unit I knew I wanted to focus on one fairy tale a week. Toddlers love repetition and learn best by doing activities and reading the same book multiple times. I’ve chosen fairy tales popular while writing this unit. The four fairy tales I will focus on during this unit are The Little Red Hen, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, and The Three Little Pigs.
Fairy Tales Theme Classroom
Teaching fairy tales theme classroom is a perfect way to teach little ones about conflict resolution. Every fairy tale has a problem that the characters are trying to resolve. My most favorite thing about fairy tales is that good always trumps evil. Children can clearly identify the villain in the story and side with the hero. It’s a great way to reinforce right vs wrong.
