Teddy Bear Toddler Breakfast Ideas For A Really Delightful Morning
Ready for simple teddy bear toddler breakfast ideas for a really delightful morning? Your daycare kids will love this cute teddy bear breakfast.
First, I would like to welcome you to ClubbhouseKids Early Learning. My name is Hollie and I have been a childcare provider for 15 years. I have taught multiple ages, but infants and toddlers are my jam. I love creating fun, engaging units to keep toddlers busy and learning. In this blog post, I will be sharing toddler breakfast ideas with a simple Teddy Bear Breakfast. You can find all the printables I mention in this blog post and many others by checking out ClubbhouseKids Store.
Healthy Toddler Breakfast
As a daycare provider, meal planning hasn’t always been my favorite thing to do. Planning daycare toddler breakfast ideas can become overwhelming and time-consuming. Daycare children eat 2/3 of their meals in our care. It is important to serve healthy foods so children grow strong and ensure proper brain development.
One way to ensure your students are eating well is to plan a healthy toddler breakfast that can be served in a fun way. I am so excited to share with you this teddy bear themed breakfast full of teddy bear themed food.
Teddy Bear Picnic Invitations
At the beginning of this week, I sent home teddy bear picnic invitations. The children were very excited as they anticipated what to do at a teddy bear picnic. The morning of our teddy bear picnic breakfast the sun was shining and it was going to be a beautiful day. I set the teddy bear picnic table on my back patio so we could enjoy the beautiful morning. They were each invited to bring a stuffed bear from home to share the meal with. Click here if you would like these free teddy bear picnic invitations.
Bear Toast
This easy toddler breakfast consists of peanut butter bear toast, apple sausage, dry cereal, a fruit cup, and milk.
For a daycare breakfast on the food program, you will need to serve a grain, fruit or vegetable, and milk. Because of this, I like to use whole grains whenever possible. This bear toast can be easily made with whole-grain bread. For this daycare breakfast, I found the plates and cups at Target.
I started by spreading peanut butter onto the bread. If you are a nut-free daycare, this could be substituted for any nut-free spreads. I used sliced bananas and blueberries to create the bear’s face. For the fruit cups, I sliced strawberries and blueberries. My daycare students really like dry cereal. What toddler doesn’t right!! Have you tried Honey O’s? They are my current favorite cereal. I also thought honeycomb would be a fun cereal to add to this toddler breakfast.
The last thing I added to this breakfast was protein. Protein helps fuel energy and carry oxygen throughout your body in your blood. Protein also builds antibodies to fight off infections and illnesses. I try and add protein to all my toddler breakfasts. This apple sausage was really yummy and the kids gobbled it up.
