7 Fabulous Christmas Themed Toys For Toddler Boys and Girls

Since Christmas is the air, I will be sharing with you my 7 favorite Christmas themed toys for toddler boys and girls that I use in my classroom.

Christmas Toys For Toddlers

I am very excited to share with you these Christmas toys for toddlers that I have in my classroom. Let’s get started!

1. Fisher Price Nativity Set

I have to start with my Fisher price Nativity Set. These Nativity pieces are my absolute favorite Christmas themed toys for toddler boys and girls. I have had my Fisher Price Nativity for many years, and it is still in great condition. My toddlers love to act out the Christmas story. We also use this toy when we talk about the Christmas story in my class, each child holds a couple of pieces from the Nativity set and as we discuss that particular part of the story, they come up to the front of the room and add their pieces to the Nativity.

2. Fisher Price Advent Calendar

If you are wanting more Fisher Price Christmas characters and animals I highly recommend getting this Fisher-Price Advent Calendar. This set is perfect to get pieces such as Santa, Reindeer, and Characters in winter-themed clothing. We use these all the time for math counters, free play toys, and table toys.

3. Melissa and Doug Christmas Tree

My next favorite Christmas themed toys for toddler boys and girls is a Melissa and Doug Christmas Tree. This magnetic Christmas Tree is a perfect tabletop activity in your toddler classroom. I place the ornaments in a basket next to the tree, and my students love to pretend to decorate the Christmas Tree over and over again with the ornaments.

4. Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookies

I seem to recommend Melissa and Doug products a lot! But they are so durable and when you want toys to last for multiple years, you can’t go wrong with Melissa and Doug. My next recommendation is Slice and Bake Cookies. Who loves setting up dramatic play centers in your classroom? A Christmas Baking center is one of my favorite centers I set up during the school year. I use these Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookies as the playing props in the center. Toddlers love to slice and decorate these cookies all day long!

5. Learning Resources Santa Cookie Set

Learning Resources is another brand that is super durable and you will get many years out of their products. This Santa cookie set was a new toy for my classroom this year. I also added these to my Cookie Baking Center. This Santa Cookie Set is adorable! I have really enjoyed watching my toddlers pretend to roll out the cookie dough and bake the cutout sugar cookies.

6. Learning Resources Candy Construction

I like to add some holiday and seasonal-themed items and toys to every area of my classroom. This Candy Construction building set is perfect for your block center. The kids have so much fun creating homes and buildings made out of the candy blocks. This is a super durable toy as well and will last many years!

7. Step 2 Gingerbread House

Here’s one more toy for your block area that your toddlers will love to decorate. This Gingerbread House quickly became a classroom favorite. Another way I use the Gingerbread House in my classroom is during circle time. I will choose a different student each day to decorate the Gingerbread House!
