What are the Benefits of a Daycare Curriculum?

So what benefits can a daycare curriculum offer? Let’s first cover all the amazing benefits a daycare curriculum can provide to your program.

With a carefully crafted curriculum, you will give your daycare an added layer of organization and focus. It’s the perfect way to ensure that all children receive quality care designed specifically for their needs!

When I interview potential clients, one of the first things they want to know is if my program will offer their children quality educational experiences. I’m proud to say that it does! My curriculum is top-notch; it’s designed to nurture each child at whatever stage of development they’re at so that every single one gets the individual attention required for success.

Forget all you know about daycare curriculums: a great one isn’t just what teachers do in the classroom but how they invite kids to embark on their journey of exploration and discovery! A quality program creates an environment conducive to learning through play—encouraging curiosity and allowing children to progress at their individual pace.

Multi-Age Daycare Curriculum

Time is precious and being a daycare provider takes so much of it! That’s why I’m grateful that my curriculum has everything planned out for me – no more stressing about what activities we’ll be doing the following week. Every Sunday afternoon, I take two hours to prepare my classroom, and I’m set up for the upcoming week. Easy peasy!

ClubbhouseKids Early Learning offers two years’ worth of units! That’s 24 monthly themes! This is awesome because if you have children with you for more than one year, which is all of us, right? Most of our daycare students are with us from babies to kindergarten; you rotate between year A and year B for endless activities. The learning objectives are the same in both years; let me give you an example of how this works.

January 2025: Daycare child enrolls; at five months old. You are teaching through Year A of ClubbhouseKids Curriculum.

January 2026: The daycare child is now 17 months old. You are teaching through Year B of ClubbhouseKids Curriculum.

January 2027: Daycare child is 2 1/2. You are teaching through Year A of ClubbhouseKids Curriculum, but they are experiencing the daycare curriculum differently than when they were five months old.

Wow, this is really cool, and it works great.

Daycare Lesson Plan

Let’s start with organization. Make life easier by keeping your daycare lesson plans organized! Don’t waste valuable time printing copies and gathering materials while your little learners wait. We all have plenty to do, so let’s make it count by staying organized!

Each month, I set up a monthly binder and fill a banker box with teaching materials and fun toys. At the start of the month, I pull out these items, making it quick and easy to prepare the classroom.

Daycare Activities

Each daycare lesson plan includes a new weekly theme, plenty of activities — from book recommendations to activity boxes, daily fun & games, and an awesome accompanying song. The easy-to-follow lesson plans ensure your little ones have everything they need for days full of excitement!

My classroom started the year with a Hello Snow theme! This week’s daycare activities will focus on celebrating the winter season. The images below show you how each weekly theme is set up to make it easy to print and dive straight into the learning activities.

Task Box Activities

Ready to get your students excited about learning? After our daily circle time, a few students will be invited to the teacher’s table. Meanwhile, their peers can explore and engage with materials in fun centers around the classroom – until it’s their turn at the teacher’s table!

We begin our teacher table time by reading one of our themed books and singing a theme-song medley.

Next, my students complete the three weekly task box activities. Sometimes we complete these as a group, and other times I have the children do them individually.

Each task box activity includes a lesson plan with learning objectives tailored to toddlers and preschoolers. The task box lessons make personalizing the activities at various levels easy.

After the task box activities, we completed the daily activity. You will love the variety of these activities! Each week, we hit different areas, like cognitive growth, gross and fine motor skills, sensory development, and language- you name it! Each day of the week offers a unique way to break up monotony and make learning exciting. The curriculum in daycare can be fantastic.

Below is an image of one daily activity from the Color White Lesson Plans. As students explore white in January, they’ll dive into activities that make learning vibrant and fun. This engaging lesson incorporates creative manipulatives, a lively story-time session, and a hands-on worksheet to introduce them to white’s crisp and cool shade.

  1. You are so amazing! I absolute love your curriculum that I am using it in my home daycare. Needless to say my parents are very impressed. I appreciate all of your hard work.

I am loving all your lessons!
I am new to running a daycare, how do you keep track of subsidy payment amounts per family? I watched your Redleaf calendar video but only heard you speak mainly of check payments and the Food Program.

    1. Great question; the Redleaf calendar does have a spot to fill in all monthly subsidy, private, and food program payments.

  3. Is this only for up to 2 years or do you have for up to 4 year olds too?
